Ngoc Han Profile
Ngoc Han was raised in a family of artists. Her mother is Kim Xuyen, a famous Cai Luong actress. As a child, Ngoc Han loved to sing Cai Luong. With her mother’s encouragement, Ngoc Han attended the Theater and Drama II school in Saigon. One year before graduation, Ngoc Han suddenly decided to pursue modern music instead. Her first performance was for a battery company’s party. During the party, she performed modern music and for the first time she received ovation from the audience.
In 1996, Ngoc Han and her family came to the United States and settled in Orange County, California. Ngoc Han likes to sing Que Huong music, romantic ballads, folk, chinese, and pop music.
Her most memorable performance was when she sang Giong Song Ky Niem as a request from a member of the audience. During that fateful performance, a person suggested that she sings this song. She did and received loud applause from the audience. Currently, Ngoc Han spends her free time studying English as well as some vocational skills. Ngoc Han likes ‘canh chua’ and iced water.
Her latest CD will be released in January. Just For You is a collaborative effort between Ngoc Han and the group Ma Nu Da Tinh. Ngoc Han has also finished recording with Ngoc Anh and Bao Thiem for a CD titled Sau Tuong Tu. She is currently choosing songs for her next CD to be released this summer. She will be collaborating with Thai Chau on this project.
